Well, after over a week of a messed up heat pump, I am happy to report that it seems to be working now. I have had the tech over so many times it's ridiculous, but we think he found the problem today. He was changing out the capaciter and discovered that one of the wires had burnt out. That is why it kept tripping the breaker even after we had the breaker replaced. So today we have had heat all day and I haven't even had to go to the breaker box once! Yipee!!!! Now, I hesitate to get too excited, but I am really praying that the problem has been fixed. Crazy how one little wire can cause so much trouble. He was here yesterday and it wasn't presenting itself that way, so it finally gave up the ghost last night. I am happy that we will have heat consistently now (fingers crossed). I am telling you, they were saying it would snow last night (and we had a couple of flurries but nothing stuck) and I really was not looking forward to taking the kids out in the snow when I didn't have a warm house to come back to!
Thank you Mark!!! You really did a great job for me.
Well, the kids are watching a Rudolf the Red Nose Reigndeer movie (the Island of Misfit Toys) that I bought Dominic about two Christmases ago. He finally discovered it there on the shelf about a week ago. Now he can't get enough of the "ear" movie. They are both really into singing Christmas songs right now. I happened upon Dominic washing his hands (the the 100th time today!) singing "Santa Claus is coming to town". He picked that one up from the movie "Elf", another favorite of his.
Well, time to figure out what to make for dinner. I have no idea what to cook. Yesterday I only cooked so I could stand in front of a hot stove and oven!
So glad you finally have heat. How cute to hear about Dominic singing! You are doing a great job at being a "single" Mom to those kiddos. Edward is so proud I am sure! Just wanted to let you know I read your blog and look forward to your stories on the kids!
