Since I am not using my other weblog, I didn't want to lose the information, so I am just going to copy paste it here. Yes, the dates are from awhile ago, but that's the way it goes! I did have to laugh though because I went and read some of the comments. Most from friends/family. One was from someone who said he liked my blog and then gave me a website he thought I should check out...It was for ONLINE DATING! ROFL! Yeah, guy, I'll be sure to do that after the hubby and kids are asleep!!! (still laughing).

It's been awhile
We had an awesome 4th of July. We all came down to my brother's for the annual BBQ/rodeo/fireworks. Edward's brother came too and he had a blast. It was his first intro to America's Independence Day celebration. I think we showed him how to rock a birthday party!
I am exhausted right now and have a ton to do tomorrow before leaving town. I will try to keep my blog current, but it will just depend on if I can access the site or not. So keep checking! Someday I may have to switch services. Hopefully it was just a temporary problem.
Peace.

Congrats Nick!
Edward went to Virginia for the day. He went there for a physical for a job with the merchant marines. Keeping fingers crossed that it all works out!

My baby turned 3!
It was a really nice day and when he went to bed, he told me, "Mommy, I had fun today." Such a great little man.
Happy birthday Dominic!

Fun times
We did have one problem though. I noticed one of the wheels on the trailer towing the boat was wobbly and pointed it out to Edward. Good thing since the wheel had lost its bearing or something like that and we most likely would have lost the load on the way back! We had to talk to the park ranger and leave the boat there. We made the 10:30 ferry with seconds to spare and were finally home just before midnight! LONG day!
Today, Edward & Elmer went and fixed the trailer and brought the boat back, so all is well. Tomorrow, we are having the couple that had us to their BBQ over to BBQ at our house. Luckily, Chris, Antoinetta's boyfriend, is an awesome cook and is going to prepare the carne asada! Woo hoo!
Hope everyone has a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!

Family Fun
What a fun weekend! My parents, sister in law, and her kids came to visit over the weekend and we had SO MUCH FUN! On Saturday we took the ferry to Seattle, had lunch, and went on a harbor cruise. The boys had a blast and the little girls, well, they were just along for the ride. I can't believe how big Erin is getting. Already a month and a half. The weather held out until we were getting our ice cream, and we made it to our cars before the rain really started to fall. I think we were all pretty tired by the time we got home. Dominic was asleep before we even got out of the parking garage and I was asleep before we even got on the ferry.
Sunday was pretty relaxed. It decided to pour down rain, so we didn't make it over to the farmer's market. But it was still nice to sit and visit before everyone went home. It was so much fun having everyone here. I hope we get more visits like that more often.
In other news, I am busy working on a review for Scrapbook Stand. This website sells monthly kits. Great kits! I am really enjoying working with mine. But I had better get busy since the review is due in tomorrow. Be sure to check with Scrapfriends in the next few days to see the new review!
Hope everyone had as much fun as I did this weekend.

Kenny, praise, and general thoughts
Okay, so the e-mail must have been lost because WHEN did Kenny Chesney start dating Renee Zellweiger (pardon the spelling!). I mean, come on, shouldn't I be notified of these things? Geesh! I thought she was dating some bull rider or something - or was that Jewel? Oh well. My SIL says he looks like a turtle (sorry Kenny, but she's right). Hmmm, there goes my invite to their post nup party.
SO, I am stoked because I got praise on my art journal from Cathy Z! For you non-scrappers, Cathy Zielske is a scrappin' "celeb". I know it's weird, but to get a compliment from someone who has "made it", pretty much rocks. Now for all those mag editors out there to realize how publish worthy I am! LOL
Today was a ho-hum day. Lots of rain and even a thunder storm. Or as Dominic said "a bear up in the sky". Well, it did sort of sound like a bear. Hey Lin, here's that layout you wanted:
I wanna be a cowboy
I submitted it to SS for one of their calls, we'll see.... I know I had a whole bunch of other random thoughts but frankly it's late, so I am going to bed. Hope you all had a great day!

Uh-ohs and dancing to Maroon 5
I have the coolest kids. I know every parent says that, but I DO. Everyday they come up with something. Vivian is into the "uh-ohhhh" stage. Everything is "uh-ohhhh". And she drags it out in this husky sounding tone. Adorable. She's also started closed mouth kisses, which is a blessing because while I love my kids, one can only handle so much slobber in a day.
Dominic is a little dancing machine. Doesn't matter what. It could be to the Sesame Sings Karaoke DVD(cute DVD by the way) or to my Maroon 5 CD. Tonight it was Maroon 5. Edward wasn't back from Seattle yet, so to entertain us while I made dinner, I popped in the CD. I am so into this CD right now, it's not even funny. I am also into Dierks Bentley, but I can't play that CD because I can never get past the first song. Dominic always wants me to "play again" and will have a fit if I don't. Gotta love the song "what was I thinkin'" but after 20 times???? come ON!
Anyway, I was just thinking about the day and how much I enjoyed making dinner while my little ones and I cranked up the music and danced around the kitchen.
Napping - it's a good thing
Pretty average day today really. Spent it playing with the kids, doing dishes, and laundry. The kids are starting to feel better thankfully. Vivi had a rough night last night and was up a good chunk of it, so we were all EXHAUSTED!
So that brings me to the topic at hand: naps. I LOVE a good nap. If I could, I would take a nap everyday. When did they become a bad thing? Or a sign of weakness? Just curious. I think kids have it so good, it's expected of them to take a nap. Even new mother's are told to take naps. So does it matter that my kids are almost 3 and 14 months? If anything, they are way more active and require me to be, so a nap at times is a must! I do have times though when I get the chance to nap and I think I "should" be doing something else, like cleaning up from lunch or something. But luckily those are fleeting thoughts and I am usually able to drift off to sleep in no time. Of course, those are on days (few and far between) that I actually get to take a nap.
Okay, new topic. I finished my first week's challenge on my Art Journal. This is a weekly challenge that lasts for 20 weeks. The lady that runs the class sends a challenge each week and it is up to you to create a journal entry inspired by that challenge. It's pretty difficult really. To just let go and create. I think I get so stuck on everything being 'perfect'. I am challenging myself to let go with this and let what comes, come. I was inspired to do this because, well, I was in a creative funk. I don't think the way I have decided to journal will find it's way onto my pages anytime soon, but it is fun to just do whatever. We are asked to post our work on the website, http://writtendown.com/, for the journal challenge and THAT is scary. Really putting yourself out there for anyone to see. Now, I put my work online all the time at Scrapfriends, but that's different, on so many levels. But either way, it's a pretty cool, the whole process. Really daring me to step out of my comfort zone somewhat. I will post some pictures here in a bit.
So, that's about it for the day. Just finished writing a review for Scrapfriends (http://www.scrapfriends.us). Had a tough time with writing this one, using the products was easy, but for some reason, writing it was crazy.
Have a great night everyone.

Ever notice?
Did you ever notice just how many balloons are filled in Fred Meyer, or how "heavy" a jar of peanut butter is? I did tonight, because Dominic went to the store with me. I can only imagine what the person in the next aisle (or the next and the next) was thinking when every 2 seconds they heard "mommy look! It's a ...) Countless objects to amaze his young eyes. It was kind of fun really, just going down each aisle and seeing what would catch his eye. Fun. He helped me pick out the vegetables for dinner tonight, which I had hoped would entice him to eat, but no. He was proud of the asparagus he chose, but wouldn't eat it. That kid...total beige eater.
Vivi has developed a little cough. Nothing serious, but I can tell she's not feeling very well. She is not a 2-nap-a-day person, but she has been the past few days. I am thinking it may be a combo cold/teeth thing. She's due for more teeth and if it's any indication from her last teething episode, they will come in all at once. Which can be good and bad.
Making breakfast
Dominic wanted waffles (he calls them 'awefuls') for breakfast today, which is no surprise since they are his favorite. Yep, awefuls n berwys. (waffles and strawberry jam). Edward is actually the resident waffle maker around here. With a box of Bisquick at his side, he's unstoppable. I prefer to make them from scratch so you can imagine how often I volunteer to make breakfast. But last night Vivian had a pretty rough night. She woke up about every hour between midnight and 5am. I think she's got a little cold. Anyway, Edward was holding her and she was starting to fall asleep so it was up to me and Dominic to make breakfast. He wanted to help and I really didn't want to make them from scratch, so Bisquick it was. Dominic did almost everything on his own. I measured out the mix, milk, and oil, but he poured it into the bowl. Then, I cracked the egg, but he separated it into the mix. I remember that this was what we would do with my grandma Simonsen when she was making cookies or some other goodie at her house.
He did a pretty awesome job at mixing it up too. Pretty darn cute little man!
I'm makin' waffles!
Time to get my little man off to his nap now. He's been up since 7am and is looking pretty tired today.
Oh, funny/weird thing. My mom just called me....but she says I called her! Neither of us dialed the phone. do dododo dodo dodo. And just for the record mom, my call list shows your call as incoming but not outgoing! woooooo ;)

An apple a day keeps the doctor away!
By request of my aunt, I am posting this picture. She saw it in the Mother's day card/album I made for my mom. Here is the story behind the apples:
Dominic loves to climb up on the counter now that he has discovered he can. So the other day (this was taken May 4th), I was nursing Vivian and I could hear him climbing up (thanks to our squeaky bar stools). There wasn't anything up there except some papers and a fruit basket, so I didn't think much of it and I didn't want to yell into the next room since Vivi was starting to go to sleep. When I was taking her to her room, I peeked into the kitchen and there was Dominic, eating an apple! I gave him "the eye" and then carried Vivi off. I wasn't gone but a minute tucking her in, but apparently that was long enough because when I came back he had ALL the apples out of the fruit basket and had taken at LEAST one bite out of each! I really (REALLY) tried not to laugh, but had to grab the camera for this one. The kid was eating apples for days. All I can say is thank goodness for ziplock bags!

I wanna be a cowboy
I took this photo of Dominic Friday. He wanted to play his "tar" and wear his "cowboy". All he needed was a blade of hay hanging from his mouth!

A layout for Vivian
This is a layout I made yesterday. I was inspired by the look in Vivian's eyes. They just seemed to speak to me. The journaling is hidden under the title. It's a letter I wrote to her talking about how the photo made me feel.

Where to start?
I'm doing it. I'm blogging. Why? I don't really know, I guess I figured this would be a good way to share my stories with family and friends. It is also a way to record some of my many rambling thoughts about life. I intend to also have this be a way to share news about the business I am working on opening this summer.
You see, I LOVE scrapbooking. It's my art, it's my outlet and I love sharing it with others. I think many of my family members don't quite understand my obsession, but at least they are supportive and keep the quiet whispers to themselves. :)
I love that I have the best subjects in the world: Dominic and Vivian. They supply me with a never ending pile of photographs. I find myself just snapping happily away for no other reason than I think they are adorable. Makes it a little difficult to come up with page titles that way, but it leads me to a lot more journaling. I just made a page the other day that I really like. It is a letter to Vivan sparked by the look in her eyes. I really like how it turned out. And since I haven't quite figured out how the whole image thing works on this, I will post a picture of it next.
I am working on a couple of projects right now. I belong to a circle journal group and we are going into our 4th week! Wow, time flies. I am also working on an art journal. I am pretty excited about it. I am hoping it pushes me to break out of the box and learn more about myself as an artist. So far I love it. I am just now getting ready to start week 2, but I will write more about all of this at another time.
So, I guess that is all for now. Enough to get me started I suppose.
